Gastronomy, contact with nature, fiestas and traditions.  Jesús Pobre brings together, in its narrow streets, a slice of the best of the history and the tradition of the Marina Alta area.

It has mountain bike and hiking trails which allow you to discover the Montgó Natural Park or the history of the wind mills, from the XVII century, which give the name to our hostel and which still watch over the Jesús Pobre landscapes. “Alquerias” (farm houses), millenary olive trees and small woods are also a must visit during the days you stay in our village.

A special mention for the activities around the Riu Rau of Jesús Pobre, emblematic landmark where traditional and themed (depending to season) Sunday markets take place with the best of the local gastronomy and artcrafts, usually accompanied by live music.

Besides this, it has got a wide festivity calendar, always tight to agricultural life events  (Fiesta de l’Escaldà, Cabrerot, Local Wines Contest, …). During May and/or June, you can also enjoy our local fiestas.

Another great attraction of the village of Jesús Pobre is, without a doubt, its strategic location between the coast and the interior of the Marina alta Area, which allows you to visit several nearby villages, placed just a few kilometres from Jesús Pobre, such as Xàbia, Gata de Gorgos, Moraira; or interior ones like Xaló and Alcalalí. All of them charming villages with a wide offering of services and leisure activities.

From the coastal villages, we can highlight the beautiful beaches and bays, where you can relax and enjoy their crystal clear waters. Just a few steps from Jesús Pobre you can also enjoy a golf course to practise your favourite sport with the best services and comfort.
